Another fabulous day in our Great South East

I'm never disappointed when I head out in our Great South East.

Saturday, my lovely daughter and I were on our way from Ipswich to Paddington to enjoy coffee and maybe browse the antique stores when we stumbled across something fabulous a little closer to home. The steam train at Bundamba was fired up and ready to roll. Who can resist the call of the steam train?

Without delay we had our tickets and were ready to ride. I'm a big kid at heart so you couldn't wipe the smile of my face, a grin from ear to ear. (except for the part where Rose got soot in her eyes but that just makes the experience more authentic.)

Taking in the scenery, the sounds, the smells, a truly magical experience. Like stepping back in time. If you love the simple pleasures in life then a step back in time on a steam train is unbeatable.

Like I said when I started, I'm never disappointed when I head out in the Great South East. We are blessed with so many wonderful things to do and under our beautiful QLD sky, it doesn't get any better than this.

The Steam Train at Bundamba runs on the 3rd Saturday of every month, it costs around $5 for a child and I think I paid about $9 for an adult ticket. Well worth the ticket, I think I will have to take my husband next month, as he is already complaining that he missed out. Well, that will happen when you travel to NSW, all the fun stuff is happening right here in QLD..
