Apple Pie

Mix 3 cups plain flour, 1/4 tsp salt and 250g cold cut up butter in food processor.  
Add 1/2 cup iced water and mix until it forms a ball, divide in half, chill 20mins in fridge.

 Meanwhile, peel and slice 6 apples.  Mix with 1/2 cup castor sugar, 
1 tbsp plain flour, 1 tsp vanilla and 1 tsp cinnamon.

Roll out 1 half of the pastry 1/2 cm thick and place in greased pie tin.  
Add apple mixture and brush edges of pastry with a mixture off egg yolk and water.  

Roll out pastry top, crimp edges and cut out heart shape, stick on with the egg wash 
and brush the whole pie top with wash and sprinkle with castor sugar.  

Bake at 220 for 10mins then turn oven to 180 for another 50mins.  
Cool 30mins and serve with luscious vanilla icecream!
