market day wrap up - mother's day may 9th

we had a feeling about this market, we were so grateful to have received a mention in the Courier Mail's official Mother's Day guide, and with every restaurant and cafe in the precinct fully booked fro breakfast and lunch we knew that the day was going to be busy.
And it didn't disappoint! Brisbane was out on a glorious May day to celebrate "mum" and enjoy a casual stroll through the market place, a spot of shopping, and then a great cup of coffee and maybe a bite to eat!

march market day wrap up

after a brief morning shower, our March Boutique market sprang to life with a colourful crowd of locals and market regulars and passengers from a massive German cruise ship which had docked at Portside for the day. Delighted by the marketplace on their arrival the tourists where quick to practice their English on our obliging retailers.... who tried their very best to make the best of the language barrier....

the lovely Brisbane weather didn't disappoint, and after many market days exposed to the hot Brisbane weather, it was nice to finally have a cool breeze to great our retailers and customers.

With many new retailers on showcasing this month, the marketplace was fresh and alive with Brisbane's finest talent!

market day wrap up - february

last Sunday's boutique market took on a very retro vintage feel, and my eye couldn't help but be drawn to the fabulous colours and patterns that overflowed in many of our retailers marquees. With many customers out and about early, to pick up some fresh flowers or have breakfast or lunch with a their valentine, the precinct was a hive of activity from early on.

we were treated with some fabulous new retailers, including Sunshine Coast based seven dandelions, who treated us with their eclectic range of contemporary lampshades.... seriously drool worthy!

handmade resin bangles from whizzbangle

ever popular, pencils and pencil rolls from Peg and Kate

gorgeous textile design from emeshmode

lovely jewellery from Miss Dish

a funky new belt range from market regular Taybian

next months market on Sunday March 14th, see's our first cruise ship in, so we wait with excitement for a very busy market day....
