If you've popped past the Udessi marquee on market day, you will have noticed bubbly Artist Renée Treml pottering around behind the scenes, lending Kim a helping hand. Renée has an extensive range of products on offer on market day, but what has caught my eye this coin purse Tuesday is her gorgeous set of Kookaburra note cards. The set of 5 different note cards, created from the ‘Many Faces of a Kookaburra’ original artwork series, were inspired by the Australian native laughing kookaburras (so called for their unmistakable call, which sounds like loud laughter) that live in Renée’s neighbourhood.
After moving from the USA to Brisbane, Queensland in 2007, Renée has become captivated by Australia’s wildlife and the native birds that visit the area where she now lives.
Her inspiration came from time spent volunteering at a local wildlife centre hospital and observing birds in their natural setting. Renée adds depth and texture to her paintings through the use of different techniques and materials, creating an exceptional collection of dynamic and striking original and limited edition artworks.
