If you're looking for inspiration out of the city or just a break, last weekend we roadtested a great farm stay near Somerset Dam - The Hollow Log.
It was perfect, a real experience for our city kids and I found the escape refreshing and very reassuring in getting back to basics.
There were alpacas, chickens, a puppy, cows, koalas, wallabys, lots of mud! and everyone's highlight was sitting round the open fire outside roasting marshmallows.
