If you're looking for inspiration out of the city or just a break, last weekend we roadtested a great farm stay near Somerset Dam - The Hollow Log.
It was perfect, a real experience for our city kids and I found the escape refreshing and very reassuring in getting back to basics.
There were alpacas, chickens, a puppy, cows, koalas, wallabys, lots of mud! and everyone's highlight was sitting round the open fire outside roasting marshmallows.

That looks just divine Taryn. I just had a look at their website and I can't believe how reasonable the prices are!! I'll definately be looking at heading there for a weekend... Christine xo
Oh wow... not so long ago I was looking for a farm stay fairly close by. I will have to put this one in my favourites... do you have any contact details ie. a website?
