A Giveaway.....
not sure what it is about pattern on china that I love - the calming effect the colours give, the ornateness, the simplicity in repetition of patterns, but I can't help myself when I come across anything with a pattern - a tea cup, a ginger jar, a plate, a Turkish tile, a rug..... So much so, that a few years ago I began painting these designs, inspired by the tea cup above, a family heirloom, which had been given to my daughter on her birth, as the first great grandchild.along with a collection of ginger jar paintings i had done, I coupled my favourite tea cup stacked paintings and sourced some gorgeous linen tea towels, and cotton table cloths, aprons and totes, and had the designs screen printed in gorgeous blue and whites.
so today 2 give aways for any lover of blue and white, teacups or ginger jars.
the first a set of 2 of my tea-towels, one screen printed with ginger jars, the other a teacup stack.
(pictured above) designed by yours truly.
